Flight Attendant: The 3 People Who Could Be Cassie’s Double Explained

The stewardess season 2 brings back a series of familiar faces such as Ani (Zosia Mamet), Max (Deniz Akdeniz) and Megan (Rosie Perez). However, it also introduces several new characters, including Grace, Cassie’s new colleague at Imperial Atlantic Airlines. Played by Mae Martin, she was on the same flight to Berlin as Cassie. She was also in the exact same area when Cassie first spotted her doppelganger; in fact, Grace was nearby when the car explosion happened. His proximity to the incident allows him to easily pull off the impersonation.

Remarkably, Grace has the same build as Flight attendantIt’s Cassie. Granted, she doesn’t have the same long blonde hair, but she could have easily worn a wig. Likewise, while she doesn’t have Cassie’s exact tattoo, she could also have used a temporary one that can be easily washed off. Finally, whoever poses as Cassie is clearly a pro at what she does. In The stewardess season 2, episode 2, Grace is revealed to have been in the military before. This experience gives him certain skills to pull off impersonation seamlessly. For what it’s worth, Cassie was also initially suspicious of Grace. But while she doesn’t have the tattoo and is apparently super fun and cool, Cassie better keep her guard up until this whole mystery is solved.

Karlson Point

Grace isn’t the only new player in Cassie’s life in The stewardess season 2. As a civilian informant for the CIA, Cassie has a handler, Benjamin (Mo McRae). The pair appear to have a decent working relationship, but after the car explosion in Berlin, the two are in trouble over what happened – especially after Cassie blatantly lied about her whereabouts during the ‘incident. So, Cassie is called to the CIA office where she meets Benjamin’s boss, Dot Karlson (Cheryl Hines). Cassie shares her suspicions that someone is trying to impersonate her with Dot; she even mentions the tattoo. But, Dot just brushes it off, downplaying Cassie’s concerns and saying that countless women may have had the same tattoo, so maybe she’s paranoid.

That’s already suspicious behavior, especially for someone who works at the CIA. At the very least, she should have indulged Kaley Cuoco Flight attendant character and not shoot him down right away. Like Grace, it’s worth noting that Dot looks much the same as Cassie, not to mention working with the glass-eyed guy who was in Berlin the night of the car explosion. Finally, it seems that Dot specifically wanted Cassie to handle this case. During his closed-door meeting with Benjamin, he was raising red flags about why they shouldn’t keep Cassie on as a CIA informant. But Dot insists she’s equipped for the job. This could be because she already knows Cassie’s weaknesses, which makes her easy to manipulate.

Gabrielle Diaz

Cassie’s third potential impersonator is another new one The stewardess character – Callie Hernandez’s Gabrielle Diaz. Cassie meets her and her husband, Esteban (JJ Soria) in Berlin, and immediately it’s clear they’re up to no good. For starters, they cloned Cassie’s phone or hotel room card. They are later confirmed to be sketchy people when they hijacked the house in front of Cassie in Los Angeles, establishing that they were stalking her. Like Grace and Dot, Gabrielle is about the same build as Cassie. But although she doesn’t have blonde hair, it would be very easy for her to wear a wig, the same way it would be easy to have a fake tattoo. Anyway, it looks like she’s already wearing a brown wig. Maybe she’s actually blonde and trying to change her appearance so Cassie wouldn’t suspect her.

At this point, Gabrielle and Esteban are the only ones explicitly doing anything illegal in The stewardess season 2. There is no information yet on who they are affiliated with or why they even follow Cassie. But the fact that they’re obviously targeting Cassie means they’re planning something that involves her. Given their lies, there’s a good chance what they’re plotting isn’t good. Whether Gabrielle is her impersonator or not, Cassie must make sure to keep her distance from the Diaze. Hopefully, Ani and Max can sense that their new neighbor is up to no good and warn Cassie about them, even though she doesn’t have the best record of listening to her friends.

The stewardess launches new episodes Thursdays on HBO Max.
