Genshin Impact Lore: Tale of the Five Kasen

When Suikou presented the Five Kasen’s works for the Shogun, he was asked why a page from one of Aoi no Okina’s poems had been torn out. The night before the submission, Suikou was intoxicated and only vaguely remembered a mysterious figure approaching him. The character was revealed to be Aoi no Okina, who was forced to tear out a page of his own poetry. He then handed it over to the fifth individual, unaware of the fifth individual’s true intentions. Aoi no Okina only knew that the torn page had something to do with Akahito, modeled after Genshin Impactis own Kaedehara Kazuha.

This poem that Aoi no Okina ripped out is the one he recorded doing Sumizome. The fifth individual wanted this page because it was proof that Akahito had been framed. Genshin ImpactNational team member Xingqiu is the role model for Aoi no Okina, and players wonder if Xingqiu and Scaramouche were old acquaintances. It is unknown how far Aoi no Okina was pushed into committing this unthinkable act, but it is implied that the Fifth Kasen used any means necessary to convince Aoi no Okina to obey. The story ends there, in which the missing page cannot be found, the location of the fifth Kasen unknown, and Suikou feels guilty.

There are so many mysteries surrounding Genshin Impact. Whether the story of “The Five Kasen” is real is also something to consider. History repeats itself as the “Hues of Violet Garden” event storyline consists of five other very familiar individuals investigating a mystery. The current Five Kasen models are so perfect it’s strange. As players anticipate the new Sumeru region teased in Genshin Impact 2.6, Genshin Impact surprises everyone with an event that brings together characters from around Teyvat. Inazuma eventually opened only for them to be stuck unraveling a case surrounding Inazuma and his noble clans.
