How to Draw a Bee - Easy Step by Step Drawing Tutorial for Kids and Beginners

What do you need

  • our printable drawing guide (completely optional, but handy – you can get it at the end of the tutorial)
  • paper
  • your favorite marker
  • optional: coloring supplies

Step 1

Start by drawing a circle shape. This will be your bee’s head.

Start by drawing an oval shape. This will be the body of the bee.

Draw stripes (lines) in the oval, they can be arched up or down. The number of stripes does not matter. Also add two eyes and a circle-shaped mouth.

Now comes the first pair of wings.

Draw the second pair of smaller wings below the first set of wings.

Draw the stinger and the antennae. And you are done! You have just learned how to draw a cute little buzzing bee.

You can even add a dotted line coming out of the sting, which will give the effect of a bee flying. Pretty simple and cool addition to your image.

Now that you’ve finished your bee, it’s time to color it. If you want to give your image depth, color it darker at the edges and lighter in the middle. This will give it a more 3D feel.
