How to View Flight Status on Your iPhone

  • Open the posts app, long press the airline name and flight number, then select Flight overview.

Track Flights in Messages on iPhone

If you share your flight number with someone via text, this is a quick and easy way to track the flight. You can use Messages to see the status of a flight, whether you send or receive the message.

Open the conversation in posts containing the flight details or insert the airline and flight number if you are the one sending the SMS.

The message should include the airline name and flight number or exact flight number for the most accurate results. For example, you can enter “Spirit Airlines 927” or “NK927” for the same flight.

Press and hold the bubble containing the flight information.

You will see a pop-up on the screen containing a map of the flight with options for Flight overview for status and details and Copy flight code if you want to paste the information elsewhere. Faucet Flight overview.

You will then see the flight status along with relevant details such as departure and arrival times, duration, terminal, gate and baggage claim locations, if applicable.

If you see dots at the bottom of the screen, it means that multiple flights match the airline and flight number. This is usually a future theft. Swipe right to see the additional flight with its status and details.

Faucet Fact in the top right to close flight details and return to your conversation in Messages.

Track Flights Using Search on iPhone

You can also use Spotlight to find flight information.

Swipe down in the middle of your home screen to open Research.

Enter the flight number or the name of the airline and the flight number.

You’ll see your results list with basic information, including terminals, departure and arrival times, and current status. To see more, select the flight.

You will then be able to view additional flight information, such as a map of the aircraft’s current path, flight duration, and baggage claim location, if available.

There are many flight tracking services and apps available for iPhone. The one you choose depends on the features you want. So let’s see how to use a free and popular app called Flightradar24.

To open Flightradar24, enter the flight number in the search field and press Research on the keyboard.

You’ll see matching results in the Airlines, Live Flights, and Recent or Scheduled Flights sections. Select the correct flight.
