See the video

Follow these step-by-step instructions

Step 1:

Print out our chicken paper movable doll model. We really recommend printing this on card stock, the heaviest your printer can handle. Layering the model pieces (after coloring and cutting them) is also an option and something we recommend.

2nd stage

Color in all desings. If you use it as an Easter craft, make the eggs very colorful.

Step 3

Make the small holes. We recommend using a skewer to drill the two holes on the doll’s body and the two holes on each wing. Older children can make the holes themselves, while younger children will need adult help.

Step 4

Cut out the patterns.

Step 5

Push the wire through the outer hole of the fender. Plastic needles are a handy tool to use, as we didn’t have any, we improvised and made a paper needle.

Step 6

Continue by also pushing the same wire through the outer hole of the other wing.

Step 7

Push the brad through the hole on the chicken’s body, with the open side sticking out the back of the chicken’s body.

Step 8

Place the wing on top of the body, the brad going through the inner hole of the wing. Spread the open ends to secure the brad.

Repeat with the other wing.

Step 8

Glue a craft stick to the back of the chicken’s body. We used both glue and tape just to make sure it would really hold.

Step 9

Position the wings so that they are “relaxed as if falling”. Tie the thread together.

Step 10

Have fun with your movable paper chicken doll.
