Pokémon GO: Alolan Geodude Community Day Guide (May 2022)

There are several bonuses to take advantage of during the event, and players are also able to buy a ticket to complete special research tasks related to Alolan Geodude. The ticket will cost $1.00, and players are able to gift tickets to other trainers for the first time with this event. The ability to gift a ticket will appear after selecting the Community Day research pass in the shop, but if someone already has a ticket, the gift option won’t work. The ticket only gives players access to the special reasearch, and it’s not needed to participate in the event or gain access to the bonuses.
Event Bonuses
3x Stardust per catch in Pokémon GO.
2x Chance to get Geodude XL candy after catching Alolan Geodude
2x Candy for catching any Pokémon
Lure Modules and Incense last three hours
After enough Pokémon are caught from one Lure Module, the Stardust bonus increases to 4x
Trades cost 50% less Stardust
Two special trades can be made during the event
Taking snapshots may result in a surprise encounter
The bonuses will last for the duration of the event, and some of them will be active for two hours after. Aside from making it easier to catch Alolan Geodude and its Shiny form, these event bonuses will help players earn more candy and experience for every Pokémon they catch. While participating in the Alolan Geodude Community Day event, players can earn a lot of Geodude candy, learn an exclusive move, and find one or more Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon GO.
