Pokémon GO: Sustainability Week Timed Research Tasks & Rewards (2022)

During Pokemon GoDuring Sustainability Week, players are also challenged to find six Pokémon in the wild to complete their Elite Collector Medal. Completing this task will reward players with 10,000XP, 15 Great Balls, and an encounter with the Grass-type Pokemon Meganium. The six Pokémon players must find and catch are Cherubi, Grimer, Gloom, Weepinbell, Trubbish, and Grotle. The toughest Pokemon on the list will be Gloom and Weepinbell, which only spawn near a Pokéstop with a Mossy Lure Mod in it. Pokemon GO. If players prioritize event research tasks to walk 1km and catch three Grimer, they will be rewarded with encounters for Cherubi and Trubbish, respectively.

Players can also use Eggs to find the Durability Week Pokémon they’re looking for. Eggs that require walking 7 km to hatch obtained during this week will have either an Alolan Diglett, Larvitar, Cherubi, or Oranguru. All Pokémon except Oranguru hatched this way have a chance to be shiny. Additionally, Oddish, Grimer, Turtwig, Grotle, Cherubi, Trubbish, Ferroseed, Oranguru, Venasaur, and Phantump have an increased spawn rate.

For players participating in the Pokemon Go Community Day event on April 23, 2022, they will unlock the Special Research task to run 1 km five times. Each successful unlock will reward an encounter with Cherubi, which has a chance to be shiny. Additionally, Niantic has pledged to plant one tree, up to 100,000 trees in total, for every player who completes the 5K during Community Day. Players who complete the five kilometers will also earn six total Cherubi encounters.
