What do you need:

  • paper plate – a paper plate will make two rocking reindeer
  • brown paint
  • big googly eyes
  • red pompom
  • brush
  • dark brown construction paper

If you’re not a fan of googly eyes, googly eye stickers are a great alternative.

Paint the paper plate with brown paint.

Fold it in half to get the line to cut along.

Cut the paper plate in half.

Fold into a cone. Unfold and apply glue to one end.

Fold again into a cone shape.

Hold together so the glue sets (I use a clothespin to hold it together so I can move on to the next steps). Older children can use a stapler.

Glue on two googly eyes and a red pompom for the nose.

Cut antlers out of brown construction paper.

Glue the antlers to your cardboard rocking reindeer.

It is now ready to rock!
