Sims 4 Update Glitches Character Into a Poppy Playtime-Style Nightmare

The latest update of The Sims 4 features a bug that turns a character into a poppy play time– like a nightmare. Like most games, The Sims 4 hosts several glitches, a few of which turned out to be quite hilarious. One mistake, in particular, led to a player accidentally turning his Sims’ pet cat into a garden salad. But no one would expect poppy play time-terror style of The Sims.

A survival horror game available to play on PC and mobile platforms, poppy play time hit the market in October 2021 and featured an adventure set inside an abandoned toymaker, Playtime Co. Players assume the role of a former staff member who returns to the factory after having received bizarre messages from other former employees. Stranger still, these former staff members disappeared without a trace many years before. The real terror unleashes once users discover Playtime Co.’s creepy mascot, Huggy Wuggy, and a few other equally gruesome toys come to life.

But Poppy Playtime Huggy Wuggy should be the least of a sims player concerns. This may no longer be the case, however. Earlier this week, Reddit user squarepeach94 shared a gameplay clip captured after The Sims 4 most recent game update. Apparently, the patch caused a glitch that turned an NPC Sims into a character with thin arms and disturbingly long fingers. Glitches involving the NPC’s facial animations only made matters worse, evoking a poppy play time-a vision that becomes more and more terrifying the longer the video lasts. Check out the full clip in the Reddit post linked below:

Suffice it to say, The Sims 4 players operating on the latest patch may want to keep an eye out for spooky poppy play time-like figures invading their spaces. It is not currently known how widespread the problem in question may be; thus, there is no word on whether or not an upcoming patch will fix the bug. Hopefully very few people have encountered such nightmarish fuel.

But poppy play time First hitting digital storefronts about six months ago, developer MOB Games already has a sequel in the works. Title Poppy Playtime Chapter 2, the follow-up entry will place another toy monster in the center of attention – Mommy Long Legs. The jury is out on whether she’ll prove as terrifying as Huggy Wuggy, but teases and in-game trailers suggest that MOB Games has definitely upped the scare factor for the new installment.
